Introduction & Background

In accordance with Article 7.6 of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Young Adults’ Fellowship

(Hereinafter referred to as YAF or Fellowship) Constitution “To Create a platform for the

formation of a Guild of Professionals in the Church”, the North America & Australia Presbytery

(Hereinafter referred to as NAAP) YAF is seeking to build a social network platform dubbed

Fellowship In Your Hands (FIYH) and is accepting proposals in response to this Request for Proposal (this “RFP,” or this “Request for Proposal”) to find a qualified source to provide a responsive platform for its members. Our goal with this platform are as follows:

✅ Provide a digital application for virtual fellowshipping, meetings and socialising.

✅ Provide a digital application for members to network and build synergy.

✅ Provide a digital application for training or equipping members.

✅ Provide a digital application to identify members and their needs to help in planning supports and programs.

✅ Provide a digital application for transmitting data/information from the local courts.

In order to fulfil the above, the platform which we expect to come in a form of an application for mobile and a desktop accessibility with the likeness of a linkedIn or Facebook should allow participants to see, like, share, follow conversation, people and created groups (Created groups will include locals, districts, committees, professional and education network groups.

Submission Guidelines & Requirements

The following submission guidelines & requirements apply to this Request for Proposal:

  1.  First and foremost, even though we are keen on selecting qualified individuals or firms with prior experience on projects such as this, we are also open to startups willing to take up the challenge. Both startups and experienced bidders may submit proposals in response to this Request for Proposal.
  1. Bidders MAY list projects that are substantially similar to this project as part of their response, including references for each. Examples of work should be provided as well.
  1.  A technical proposal must be provided that is not more than five [5] pages. This technical proposal must provide an overview of the proposed solution as well as resumes of all key personnel performing the work. In addition, the technical proposal should provide a proposed schedule and milestones, as applicable.
  1. A price proposal must be provided that is not more than one [1] page. This price proposal should indicate the overall fixed price for the project as well as hourly rates and an estimated total number of hours, should [NAAP YAF] decide to award a contract on an hourly rate basis.
  1. Proposals must be signed by a representative that is authorised to commit to the bidder’s company.
  1. If you have a standard set of terms and conditions, please submit them with your proposal. All terms and conditions will be subject to negotiation.
  1. All Proposals must be sent before the deadline date to naapyafpresident@gmail.com
  1.  NAAP YAF anticipates selecting at least two individuals or firms to have more in-depth discussions with, and will make an award to one of these “down-selected” individuals or firms

Project Description

The purpose of this project is as follows:

  1.  Enhance Fellowshipping & build synergy
  1.  Receive data/information and transmit the same.
  1.  Attract, Equip and retain members

The description of the project is as follows:

  1.  A responsive application on IOS, Android and on a browser
  1.  A digital application that allows members to login for identity to be able to post, like and comment. Also for creation of sub groups, request for joining and right to accept or reject membership.
  1.  An application with the ability for text, audio and video integration.

Project Scope

The scope of the project entails a members access to members only information database. You may provide this in list or paragraph form.

The successful bidder will be responsible for designing a responsive, easy to manage database.

The criteria set forth below should be met to achieve successful completion of the project:

  •  Web based application.
  •  IOS compatible application.
  • Android compatible application.

Acceptance of the work is contingent on the following acceptance criteria:

  • Web based application.
  • IOS compatible application.
  • Android compatible application
Evaluation Factors

NAAP YAF will rate proposals based on the following factors, with cost and membership of the

YAF being the most important factor:

  1. Responsiveness to the requirements set forth in this Request for Proposal
  1. Relevant past performance/experience or clear plan of action for startups
  1. Samples of work or demo slide
  1. Cost, including an assessment of total cost of ownership.
  1. Technical expertise/experience of bidder and bidder’s staff

NAAP YAF reserves the right to award to the bidder that presents the best value to NAAP YAF as determined solely by NAAP YAF in its absolute discretion.
